To get what you want, you have to know what you want

Do you know what you want to be, do or have? If you don’t know, you are choosing to let someone else determine where you end up. Put your life in your hands. Take a moment to think about what you want to accomplish. What are your goals? Not your company’s, or your parents, or your boss’s… YOUR’S!!!
The most important thing about a goal is having one. If you don’t know where you want to go, you will end up somewhere else. Once you know what you want, write it down. Then read it out loud, share it with anyone you know that will support you. Be sure to state it in the positive and in the present tense. For example, I AM debt free. I AM in a happy and blissful relationship with my soul mate. I AM doing my dream job. I AM at my happy weight with a physical body and fitness level that I’m proud of. Or, you can use a slightly different technique by stating a date in the future as if it was already here, and what you want has already occurred. Something like, “It is December 31, 2008 and I am doing my dream job, I have a partner that I adore and he/she adores me, and I made more money that I originally planned. I have accomplished everything I set out to and more!” Both are effective ways to set your goals. The important thing is to be working toward something. Now, go set your goals! It is the first step in creating the life you want.
